What is the replacement value?

We ask you to list a replacement value when you list your item in case it is damaged or lost and needs to be replaced. If it’s brand new and you’ve only worn it a few times, it’s OK to put in the amount you paid. If you’ve worn/rented it multiple times, it’s not fair to expect someone to pay the full replacement value.

If it is sold out or a collector's item the replacement value may be the same or higher than the RRP.

You can negotiate this with each other and an easy way to be prepared for that conversation is to have a look online to see what it is being sold for.

If the item is damaged beyond to an extent that it can no longer be rented, it must be "sold" to the lender. This means the dress cannot be repaired and put back into the rental pool.
